What are the fees at Chilton House?

Am I able to claim for my stay on my insurance?

Many of our convalescent guests are able to claim their fees back from their insurers, this would need to be confirmed with your insurers prior to your stay. You will need to settle the bill with Chilton House and your insurers will reimburse you.

Do you have a minimum night’s stay?

There is a minimum 4 night stay for residents of Chilton House.

Do you have set visiting hours for friends & family?

Our doors are always open, so whenever you are happy to have friends & family visit, they will always receive a warm welcome.

Is there wifi accessible?

Yes, all of our rooms have wifi available.

Is there a hydrotherapy pool at Chilton House?

Not at the moment, however, we are hoping to have one available for our residents to use later next year.

Can I bring my pet with me?

We have had many pets come and stay with residents previously, we would recommend talking to our guest relations team when booking, if you are hoping to bring your pet with you.

Can my visitors join me for meals?

Friends & family are always welcome in our dining room, there is a cost for guest meals which is included in the information pack you will receive on arrival.

Can I get public transport to Chilton House?

Chilton is a remote village in the Buckinghamshire countryside and is not serviced by public transport. We do have fantastic rail links with Haddenham & Thame Parkway a 12 minute taxi journey away.

Can I get my hair done whilst at Chilton House?

Yes! We have a hairdresser who comes in once a week. If you would like an appointment, just let our guest relations team know on arrival.

Can I still get my daily newspaper?

We have a daily newspaper delivery. Please just let our guest relations team know which one you would like when you arrive.

Can I bring my furniture from home with me?

For any residents who are joining us permanently, we encourage you to bring furniture from home. It really does help with the settling process.

Am I able to bring my car with me?

Of course, we have a car park at the rear of the house that residents can use.

How far away are the nearest shops?

We are a short drive from the market town of Thame.

How do I see the doctor if I need to?

All residents are registered with our doctor, they come to the house to do a weekly doctors round and see all residents who require it.

Will I have a phone in my room?

All rooms have a telephone, with their own direct dial number attached to it. Calls are charged to residents at a standard BT rate.

Can I smoke in my room?

Chilton House is a non smoking environment. If a resident would like to smoke we have the terrace and vast grounds that can be used.
